In 1991, the Swiss Confederation celebrated its 700th anniversary. Great events were planned on the scale of the country, initially to be centered on utopia, on the possible futures of this country, reflection to which each and everyone was invited. Finally, this event took the form of an exhibition of regional particularities.

In 1991, the Swiss Confederation celebrated its 700th anniversary. Great events were planned on the scale of the country, initially to be centered on utopia, on the possible futures of this country, reflection to which each and everyone was invited. Finally, this event took the form of an exhibition of regional particularities.

But between 1989 and 1991, Christophe Beguin and I asked ourselves about the future of Switzerland, about the utopia of a nation and about the way to catalyze its emergence. The project did not see the light of day, but even today, it seems to me that it is still relevant, and could serve as a model for other regions or countries.
