You probably noticed that I make one drawing per day, inspired by the news. Practically, it goes this way: I browse quickly through the main news sites and save a few interesting headlines, before deciding which one will be the subject of the day.By constantly scanning the news, I have developed my instinct in regard to the major trends that became omnipresent in our daily soup of information. First, these major trends are becoming bigger and bigger, their number diminish always more and they are getting so repetitive that I sincerely feel sorry for the journalists who have to report day after day the same madness. It is worth being noted: variety disappears rapidly. There must be a software to verify that politics have 20%, sport 25 %, news in brief 10%, finance and business 15% and opinion polls and scientific studies the last 30%.
I'm amazed by the amount of money and energy that is wasted into absurd studies and pernicious statistics... Avian flu, mammographies, auricular cancer, the people''s opinion on biaised questions and, of course, tabacco...
I came to the conclusion that studies and opinion polls published on a daily basis in all the major medias of the world are a new formula of Prozak that we inconsciously absorb, day after day, in hazardous does, through the simple contact with medias. These studies are all based on statistics. To the question "Do you prefer to be a healthy non-smoker or a smoker with a terminal cancer?", 96% of the people answered non-smoker. Thus the vital importance of mobilizing all available resources to banish smoke form our society - this is the clear decision of the people.
I just mentionned smoke. Yes obesity comes just behind in our health authorities list of preoccupations. It it not far, the time when my health insurance contribution will rise dramatically if I cannot prove with a sport club certificate that I participate two times a week to physical exercise activities certified by the major health insurance companies.
Even if I'm fully healthy, even if I have the exact weight recommended by public heath authorities, I will not have the choice. Statistics clearly prove that physical exercice decreases the risks of heart diseases, ponderal overload, chronic depression and the tendancy to rebel against the bureaucratic diktats of the new white collar inquisitors.
Think about it without delay: it seems that insubordination cost way too much to the collectivity - and will consequently be forbidden in a near future.
